Purchased this dishwasher almost four weeks ago and we love it. Very quiet and does a great clean. No issues with drying the dishes and is much more eco friendly than our previous dishwasher with fan operated drying system. Particularly useful is the ability to move the lower rack cutlery basket and the upper cutlery tray is an unexpected plus. Very impressed so far.
We do have a minor issue, however, which occurred a couple of days ago. After the wash cycle has finished the unit switches itself off as normal, however, won t switch on ag
ain via the control panel for the next wash, usually up to 12 hours later. We tried turning the power off at the switch and back on and it works but only for that cycle. It won t switch on again unless turned off and on again at the switch. Hoping the issue can be resolved by a technician tomorrow.

Just to clarify, we have the Good Guys (underbench) version DWAU6314X. Okay, it cleans dishes, but it DOES NOT dry them? I called for a warranty service thinking something was wrong with the dishwasher? The repairer came out, checked the machine and advised that it DOES NOT have a drying fan to dry the dishes? He then explained, instead it has a drying cycle as part of the wash cycle, which in simple terms means that the heating element heats up after the rinse cycle and if you want the dishes dried, you need to open the door, unbelievable! Big mistake, I should have stayed with Fisher Paykel which I had previously and it DRYS your dishes.

Hi Gazman, What program are you experiencing this issue on? I would recommend referring to the program table in your manual and selecting a program with a 70°C final rinse. If you select the Quick. read more

Hi Gazman, I m sorry you misconstrued my response as patronising as this was not my intention. Smeg dishwashers use a condensing drying system. The high final rinse along with the use of rinse aid. read more
